to the Living Word Lutheran Church website. We pray that God may bless this opportunity to hear about your Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is your Savior. He has redeemed you, a lost and condemned person, purchased and won you from all sin, from death, and from the power of the devil, not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and His innocent suffering and death.
To hear more about how Christ saved you from sin, death and the devil, come join us Sunday mornings or contact Pastor Timothy Wheaton. His contact information is on the left. Also, feel free to look through this website for more information on our church.
Who are we … We are Living Word because God’s word is living and powerful, able to create faith in sinful and rebellious hearts. It has the power to make those who are spiritually dead alive in Christ. Nothing else on earth has the power to do this.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.”
We are Lutheran… because we believe and teach the beautiful Biblical principles reclaimed in the Lutheran Reformation: we are saved by grace alone, by faith alone, by Scripture alone. Also, because we confess the creeds of the Lutheran Church without qualification as they are found in the Book of Concord 1580.
Grace alone… Grace is undeserved love. Because of our sin we deserve death and hell, but God in His love for us gives us forgiveness and heaven.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Faith Alone… The way we receive this gift of forgiveness and eternal life is through faith in Christ Jesus.
John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Scripture Alone… The only way we can know of God and His will for us is through God’s word -the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
We are a Church because… Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
We are a Member of the CLC…which stands for the Church of the Lutheran Confession. For more information visit http://clclutheran.org/

22 The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders to beat them with rods. 23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. 24 Having received this order, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, 26 and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were unfastened. 27 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” 29 And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family.
